I Am Morris Smith aka “Mo”
I’m commonly known for the work I do as a barber, but I am also a Serial Entrepreneur, Real Estate Agent, and Investor. Born in Montgomery, AL. I grew up in a single parent home with my mom and two sisters. We lived in Ridgecrest; which in our city is considered the HOOD. It seemed that all odds were against me, so I moved to Atlanta, GA for a chance at a better life. I went on to finish high school at Lakeside. After completing high school, I went back to Alabama to continue my education at Stillman College. This is where I discovered my passion for barbering and entrepreneurship. I graduated with a degree in Business Administration and opened my first Barbershop at the tender age of 22! Shortly after, I pursued my real estate license. During this time, I explored different facets of business, such as opening a bar and grill and other Barbershops. I even tried a Cash Advance Store! I don’t have all the answers, but I want to share my experiences with you in hopes that you can find a path to create wealth for yourself!
It all started when…
I returned to my hometown in 2012 and decided to give back to Montgomery, by investing in distressed properties and bringing them back to life. This has allowed me to provide homes to several residents in the area, who are not on government assistance, but are still considered low income families. Without homes at this price point, many of these families would not be able to purchase or rent a home for their family.
